Merry Christmas 2010

We had such a wonderful Christmas! Brody had a great first Christmas and we had so much fun celebrating this day with him! There is something so special about Christmas time and children!! It is so magical!! I love wathcing Avery with all of the excitment and awe...she was just so sweet and cute! She tore open every present and every one else's presents as well! She was very excited and loved each and every gift!!

We spent Christmas morning at our house opening presents and playing. After that we went to Chris and Scott's for breakfast! And, more opening presents! Then we made our way to Aunt Callies house for more food and more presents! We had such a great day with family and were all very spoiled!!

Also, Christmas Eve eve we spent with my dad. For some reason I never pulled my camera out. I have some pictures on another camera. But, we had a great time with him and my sisters! Let's just say Avery and Brody will be very well dressed all winter!! Thanks so much dad!! I am a little sad that Christmas is over! We hope you all had a magical Christmas just as we did and a blessed new year!!! Remember the reason for this season!!

Christmas Eve

We had such a fun Christmas Eve. We had my family and Ryan's over at our house!! Avery was so excited and loved having her family over! She could not wait for Santa to come that night! She left Santa chocolate chip cookies and chocolate milk! Yummy!!!

Brody loves his bath!! When I wash his hair I always spike it up like this. Avery tells him every night "Brody, you look just like your daddy!" It is so funny and she is so right!!

Christmas Lights

I had been telling Ryan that we should put Christmas lights up on our house. He did not want to do it. He kept saying "I am not doing lights this year, maybe next year!" Well, Avery started to see all of the pretty lights in our neighborhood and told Ryan "Daddy, its not fair, all of the other kids have pretty lights on their house. I want some pretty lights on my house too!" So, that afternoon Ryan went to Home Depot and this is what our house looked like later that night! Sucker!!! =)

THREE Months!! December 22, 2010

My sweet sweet Brody bear you are three months old today...December 22!! We are so in love with you sweet boy! You brighten our days even more than we knew possible! You are the sweetest little thing! I live to see your sweet smiles and hear your sweet little voice talking and laughing at me!! You are amazing and we love you so much sweet Brody!! Happy three months little man!

What have you been up to this month?

* You started laughing! It is the sweetest happiest little laugh and I live to hear you laugh!! You get the biggest smile on your face and just laugh! It is amazing!!!

* You like to be tickled and laugh hard when you are tickled. Avery can always get you going!

* You are the happiest, easiest baby! You hardly ever cry...only when you are hungry or just need some cuddling!

* You have started to sleep through the night almost every night. Mommy and Daddy have started a VERY bad habit of letting you sleep in bed with us. You usually go to sleep around 10 or 11 and wake up around 5-7. Most nights you wake up around 3 or 4 and I sleep with you on my chest until you wake up! I LOVE it. It is a bad habit and I would have never done that with your sister, but you are my last baby and I am going to take advantage and hold you as much as possible because I know soon you won't even want to stop and give your momma a hug! I love sleeping with you and cuddling all morning long.

* You still like to swing in your swing and you also like sitting up in your bumbo seat. You just sit there and watch us!

* You are really strong and can hold your head up all the time and when you are on your tummy you can push yourself up on your arms and look around.

* You like to play with your little rattle and toys. You can grab them with your hands now. Your hands and fist is always in your mouth.

* You are starting to like your paci. You are also always sucking on something: your hands, fist, blanket, my shirt...whatever you can get in your mouth!

* Your hair is still growing in and is almost wavy on the ends. It is looking a little more red. It is kind of falling out in the back in the middle.

* You love taking baths and splash and kick your arms and feet and laugh!! You look up at the lights and smile and squeal!!

* You still wear a size two diaper and 3 month clothes.

* You take your prevacid only at night now...a half a pill. We are working our way toward no pills!!

* You had two shots this month. You didn't even cry.

* You weigh 14lbs and 7oz.

* You still drink 5 ounces every three hours.

* You have an ear infection in both ears right now....my poor baby! You are taking medicine for that. You also have a really runny/stuffy nose that will not clear up. I am so sad, this is your second time to be sick in your short little three months.

* You are just a pure joy and blessing to all of us. You are so sweet and precious, I thank God for blessing me with a perfect son!!! We love you soooo much Brody...happy three months!!

Meet Sammy!

Avery got this elf for her birthday! We decided to name him Sammy! Sammy is one of Santa's elves. He watches over Avery and Brody all day and at the end of the day when they are in bed he flies to the North Pole and reports back to Santa. He tells Santa all about the day we had and if they were naughty or nice!! Then he flies back home and sits in a new spot. Every morning when she wakes up she runs into the living room to see where Sammy is sitting! It has really been great! We try really hard all day to have a good day so Sammy will give Santa a good report! I am thinking we may have to leave Sammy out year round!!

Brody wore the same outfit that Avery wore when they met Santa for the first time. I thought it was okay to do that because it wasn't a "girl" outfit.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Avery was sooooo excited to see Santa this year! She talked about him non stop and was so excited! When we got there she walked right up to him and jumped on his lap! She was not scared at all! She told him that she had been a good girl all year and she wanted a piano and her brother wanted a choo choo train! She also brought Santa a special cupcake! She wanted me to bring him milk and cookies, but he had to settle for a cupcake this year! I think he was okay with that! =)

Avery can not wait for Santa to come to her house! She asks me everyday "Is Santa here yet...is it Christmas yet?" It's going to be a long month!!
