Picture Day...

On Tuesday Avery had her very first picture day! She was very excited and told me that it was the best day ever because she loves to have her picture taken! We were trying to decide which headband she should wear and practicing her smile before school! We even had enough time for me to flat iron her hair! She knew she looked so pretty! =)

12 months old...ONE year old!!!

Brody bear you are one...

and this is how I feel about it!!!! I can't believe you are already one!

Can not believe mommy put him down! =(

Brody you are the sweetest blessing (you and your sister) that I have ever received! I am so very thankful for you! You (and your sister) mean the whole world to me! I had no idea what a blessing a little boy would be in my life, but God knew and I am so thankful and forever grateful! Happy, Happy one year baby boy!

* You are the sweetest boy! You love to give your mama hugs and kisses. I love when you lay your little head on my shoulder or when you open your mouth wide open to give me a kiss!!!

* You are very attached to your mama! =)) And, I love it! The reason why you are crying in every one of your pictures is because you do not like your mama to put you down...ever!!!

* You do not like it when I leave you in another room, sit you down to do anything at all, if you can not follow me where I am going or if I shut a door behind me. You get VERY angry!!

* You started giving up your formula. You just didn't really want to drink it anymore. A few days before you birthday I started giving you whole milk in a sippy cup and we haven't looked back since. You gave up your formula and your bottles a few days before your birthday and did it amazingly well. I don't know that you have even noticed!

* You drink about 3-4 cups of milk a day. I still like to hold you while you drink it, especially when you are drinking your last bottle before bed.

* You are eating a lot more table food and a lot less baby food. You tried oatmeal and eggs this month and you really like them both. You love bananas and cheese! Those are your favorite!

* You have four teeth, two on top and two on bottom!

* You are wearing a size 5 diaper.

* You wear size 12 month clothes and some 18 months stuff fits.

* We have finally found a few pairs of shoes that will fit your chubby feet. You wear a size 5 or 6.

* You usually go to sleep around 730 or 8. You sleep well in your bed until around 1-4 and wake up crying, but as soon as I lay you in our bed you fall right to sleep!

* You are a horrible napper and usually only take one nap a day either in the morning or afternoon. You fall asleep fine but as soon as I lay you down you wake right up and will not go back to sleep!

* You love: shoes, clothes, my hair, your sister, your toy train, food, outside, the slide, bath time, sweeping and vacuuming, climbing and cuddling!

* You have learned to walk backwards and it is so funny! You also pretty much run all the time.

* You weigh almost 24 pounds. You have lost some of your baby fat and you are in the 50th% on weight and height.

* You wave bye bye, clap, do touchdown, like to pretend to feed us food, scream like a girl, give high fives, kisses and talk on the phone. You also love to play Avery's piano and all of her musical instruments and play with her kitchen....you pretty much love to play in Avery's room.

* You like to stand up in the grocery basket at the store. You think it is funny when I tell you no no.

* You really understand what we are telling you and sometimes you really listen to what we say to you or ask you to do.

* You are always smiling and laughing!! You are so happy!

I am so thankful to be your mommy! This year has been one of the most blessed, joyful, stressful, hardest, best, craziest, amazing, fulfilling, fastest year of my life!! We have all made major adjustments and at times I was not real sure how this was going to go. But, I have realized that my life is more full and blessed than I ever thought possible. All of those hard stressful times have also been the most blessed days. I could never imagine my life with out you and your sister. I am so thankful for you both and so very thankful for the love and relationship yall have with each other. This has been a big transition for Avery, but she has handled the change of being the big sister amazingly well....honestly I was not so sure at first! But, she adores you and loves to mother you and drag or pull you around everywhere she wants you to go! I pray you two will always love each other and have a close relationship! I am so thankful for you little Brody bear and for this past year together! I am so thankful God chose me to be your mommy! You bring me so much joy...thank you so much sweet boy! Happy, happy, happy 1st birthday!!!

Mimi and Paga's friend, Charlie, came to visit us. He was in town for one night and made time to come by and visit with us! Avery was so into Charlie and his iphone! She had a great time with you and was so sad that you didn't stay and spend the night at her house! Can't wait to see you again!

R-E-D day!

Avery had RED day at school. They were suppose to wear something red. And, can you believe Avery has nothing red in her closet...nothing! I even searched for her a new red outfit and could not find and solid red shirts, dresses or anything! So, we improvised and she wore her shirt that had red in it, a red hair bow and Avery picked out her very own red socks! She was to proud of them so I let her wear them to school...I think they looked kinda cute!! =)

I'm pretty sure I see a future cheerleader!! =)

First Birthday Party!!

First of all...this is the longest post ever and there are tons of pictures!!!

Sunday September 18th we celebrated my babies FIRST birthday...I seriously do not know how that is possible!!! He will turn one tomorrow and I think I am in denial. There is no way he can be one already!

We had such a great party! Thank you soooo sooo much to everyone that came and celebrated with us. We are so thankful for each of you in our lives and for loving and spoiling our Brody bear on his first birthday!!! THANK YOU!!! Thank you Mimi and Paga for letting us have our party at your house...it was perfect and everyone had such a great time! Thank yall so much for letting us party at your house and for all of the hard work and everything you did for us!! We are blessed to have you!!!

We had a sock monkey party for Brody! It was super cute and such a great little theme for our little monkey boy!!! =)

Happy Birthday...his first cake! He was not sure what to do. He just sat there and stared at it in shock for a while! I was surprised, I thought he would be sooo excited and dig right in!

Brody didn't open one present!! He really wasn't interested in it. Thank goodness big sister loves to open presents! She had no problem stepping in to help! =)


All of that cake and presents makes me a thirsty boy!!

And, he was worn out! He fell asleep eating dinner! Brody never misses a meal! He fell asleep around 6 and slept until the next morning!!!

I love this boy more than words can say! He is an absolute blessing to me and our family! He is the sweetest little thing and I can not imagine my life with out him!! I thank God for him a million times a day! He is truly the greatest gift...him and his sister...that I could have ever recieved! My life is totally complete! Thank you so much Brody bear for being the best little thing that could have happened to us! We are all so in love with you! It has been a blessed year and I am still amazed that you are mine and that you are a year old! We love you sooo sooo much sweet boy!!! Happy happy first birthday!!!!!!
